2018 Winter/Spring Classes

Classes begin on Monday, January 8th.
There will be no classes held on January 15th, March 26th, March 28th, and March 31st.
Body ConditioningMondays - 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
This class focuses on developing strength in several muscle groups, especially those sometimes ignored (or not worked enough) in dance classes alone. A lot of the exercises will help improve alignment, which will help reduce injury and pain.
Beginner Hip HopMondays - 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
This class focuses on performance skills in hip hop & street jazz necessary for stage and video. Be prepared to learn about balancing presentation, clean choreography, and proper execution of movement.
Intermediate BalletTuesdays - 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The structure of this class is designed to reaffirm posture, placement, flexibility, and strength. Each class begins with barre and centre work, followed by exercises across the floor and reverence.
Beginner/Intermediate ModernTuesdays - 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
This class is an introduction to the basic skills and terminology of contemporary and modern dance. Class exercises and combinations will focus on control, center, breathing, balance, strength and musicality.
Heels with Tate! (16 and up)Tuesdays - 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
We are so excited to bring back this class! We will teach you how to walk, dance, and feel confident in heels. No experience is necessary and you don't have to wear heels, but it makes it more fun!
Body Sculpt BarreWednesdays - 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
This class is an energizing barre/yoga fusion that builds heat. The low-impact, full body workout is designed for all levels to challenge body with the tiny (isometric) movements of barre and yoga postures. Expect to build strength and flexibility. Fueled by your favorite jams, be prepared to zone in and do WERK!
Advanced Jazz TechniqueSaturdays - 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Classes begin with a warm-up which stresses technique, flexibility, coordination and strength, followed by progressions across the floor, center work and combinations. There will be an emphasis on quality of movement in addition to perfecting technique, performance skills and varied styles.
Advanced Hip HopSaturdays - 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Choreography is taught at a speed designed to push and develop students. Movement styles include: locking, waving, isolations, jazz funk, lyrical hip hop, etc. This class is taught to a variety of music. Bring a friend and expect a challenge.
Advanced ContemporarySaturdays - 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Students learn contemporary jazz and lyrical technique with emphasis on rock, funky, lyric, and percussive movement blended with elements of theatrical jazz, modern, and ballet.
Our fall 2017 classes begin on Monday, January 8th and end on Monday, April 30th.All of our classes are $10 per person, per class. These are drop-in classes and designed for pre-teen to adult age dancers (ages 10 to adult, with the exception of the heels class, which is 16 to adult). No need to pre-register. Please pay with cash, credit/debit, or check (made payable to Ashleyliane Dance Company). We do have class cards available. You must pay for at least 4 classes to be able to receive a class card, which reduces your price to $8 per class. For example, if you purchase a card for 5 classes, you will pay $40 instead of $50. These expire at the end of winter/spring session.
