  • Body Conditioning

    Mondays - 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
This class focuses on developing strength in several muscle groups, especially those sometimes ignored (or not worked enough) in dance classes alone. A lot of the exercises will help improve alignment, which will help reduce injury and pain.
  • Beginner Hip Hop

    Mondays - 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
This class focuses on performance skills in hip hop & street jazz necessary for stage and video. Be prepared to learn about balancing presentation, clean choreography, and proper execution of movement.
  • Intermediate Ballet

    Tuesdays - 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The structure of this class is designed to reaffirm posture, placement, flexibility, and strength. Each class begins with barre and centre work, followed by exercises across the floor and reverence.
  • Beginner/Intermediate Contemporary and Modern Dance

    Tuesdays - 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
This class is an introduction to the basic skills and terminology of contemporary and modern dance. Class exercises and combinations will focus on control, center, breathing, balance, strength and musicality.
  • Beginner Jazz Technique

    Wednesdays - 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
This class is designed to develop the student's fundamental jazz dance skills with emphasis on flexibility, strength, placement, line, and coordination. Class will focus on warmup, stretching, across the floor combinations, and short combinations.
  • Advanced Hip Hop

    Wednesdays - 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Choreography is taught at a speed designed to push and develop students. Movement styles include: locking, waving, isolations, jazz funk, lyrical hip hop, etc. This class is taught to a variety of music. Bring a friend and expect a challenge.
  • Heels with Tate! (16 and up)

    Wednesdays - 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
We are so excited to bring back this class! We will teach you how to walk, dance, and feel confident in heels. No experience is necessary and you don't have to wear heels, but it makes it more fun!
IMPORTANT: There are no heels classes on June 14th, June 28th, July 12th, or July 26th.
  • Advanced Jazz Technique

    Saturdays - 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Classes begin with a warm-up which stresses technique, flexibility, coordination and strength, followed by progressions across the floor, center work and combinations. There will be an emphasis on quality of movement in addition to perfecting technique, performance skills and varied styles.
  • Advanced Contemporary

    Saturdays - 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Students learn contemporary jazz and lyrical technique with emphasis on rock, funky, lyric, and percussive movement blended with elements of theatrical jazz, modern, and ballet.

The Info

Our summer 2017 classes begin on Monday, June 12th and end on Saturday, August 12th.

All of our classes are $10 per person, per class. These are drop-in classes and designed for pre-teen to adult age dancers (ages 10 to adult, with the exception of the heels class, which is 16 to adult). No need to pre-register. Please pay with cash, credit/debit, or check (made payable to Ashleyliane Dance Company).

We do have class cards available. You must pay for at least 4 classes to be able to receive a class card, which reduces your price to $8 per class. For example, if you purchase a card for 5 classes, you will pay $40 instead of $50. All class cards will expire at the end of the summer.
